Option 1

Thelma and Louise'… For The Adventurous Girls!

This option is for you if you would like guidance on where to go and what to see - experiencing life in Provence whilst 'doing your own thing’. You are 2 ladies who are adventurous and comfortable driving yourself around, taking your time to do the things you love and having the freedom to choose where and when you dine.
It’s a chance to fully immerse yourself in the magic of the region, ‘your’ way.  You will each have your own private bedroom and bathroom but will still feel very much a part of our home.

Inclusions:

You’ll receive a Guide of what to do each day with restaurant suggestions.

Accommodation: You will each have your own king bedroom and bathroom on the first level of our home.

Continental Breakfast will be served each morning in our courtyard garden.

We’ll share an Aperitif in the garden or by the pool each afternoon to hear about your day’s adventure.

Candlelit Dinner at home on your evening of arrival.

Exclusions:

Flights, Comprehensive Travel Insurance.

Option 2

All Inclusive…‘Everything is Taken Care for You' …From the moment you step through the door.

You will live exactly the way we do for one week—no tourist bus or minivan, no locked-in schedule or set-in-stone itinerary—all without the hassle and stress of driving yourself!  If driving on narrow roads, tight parking spaces and dealing with French drivers makes you nervous, this option might be what you’re looking for.

Inclusions:

Driving: We will rent a car and take care of driving you to markets, restaurants, and villages.

Accommodation: You will each have your own king bedroom and bathroom on the first level of our home, overlooking the pool and courtyard garden.

Meals and Dining: Dining will be a mix of visiting some favorite restaurants and courtyard dining under our plane tree during the day and by candlelight at night. Each morning over breakfast we will discuss what’s in store for the day. Lunches will typically be in a quaint village or garden restaurant although the allure of irresistible produce may tempt us to sometimes bring it home to dine in the garden…you will have options and flexibility!

Out and About: Start the day the French way! Come with us to the Boulangerie to buy fresh croissants and baguettes each morning, and if you want to practise your French, you can!

  • Markets: You’ll visit 4 of the best markets Provence so proudly offers- L’isle sur la Sorgue, Gordes, St Remy and Lourmarin. The colours, aromas and variety of foods really do make a feast for the senses.  Afternoons will sometimes be a continuation of your day’s adventure or depending on your energy levels, home for a relax before going out for dinner.

  • French Antiques: If you love the charm of a brocante market and rummaging for that special piece - delicate porcelain, rustic pottery, old french linens, a complete eclectic treasure-trove of well-worn pieces - and you would like help negotiating in French, Jean-François can assist you (he used to be an antique dealer!).

  • A Must-See: Enjoy the Carrières des Lumières—an extraordinary, art, light and music show set in a limestone quarry.

  • Shopping: If you love shopping in small, interesting village stores, let’s go! I have a Ph.D. in shopping!  You’ll find casual but chic effortless fashion…floaty summer dresses, colourful baskets, stylish sun hats, jewelry with a chic, modern edge..all adding to that effortless French style we all love so much!

  • Massage: You’ll be ready to be revived towards the end of a busy week …enjoy a one-hour massage at home. Ahhh, the joys!

Adopting the Local Way of Life: You’ll probably meet some of our friends—many of whom are English-speaking and from all over the world. You’ll come with us for Friday afternoon drinks at a favorite ‘hangout’, where there is often music and sometimes dancing in the street, with a buzz of local lively chatter and the cheer of clinking glasses.  Who knows, there may very well be a Frenchman waiting to sweep you onto the pavement to dance!
We’ll pause in a village square and take in the atmosphere. People-watching can be a compelling pastime while sipping a café au lait or glass of rosé. You’ll be invited to join us should we hear of a spontaneous event on in a nearby village. You’ll have the freedom to settle into our home, relax in the garden, take a dip in our pool and just feel completely at home.

Exclusions:

Flights, Comprehensive Travel Insurance and Transfers to and from your port of arrival and departure. We can arrange this car transfer for you.

The rest… you simply enjoy!
