Getting to Provence

There are several easy ways to get to our home in Provence, whether you’re flying from nearby cities or further afield. Here are some options:

  • Fly into Paris: Then, take the TGV (high-speed train) to Avignon (approximately 2.5 hours), then pick up a rental car.

  • Fly into London: Then, take a flight to Marseille (approximately 1 hour 30 minutes), then pick up a rental car.

  • Fly into Nice: After picking up your rental car at Nice airport, the highway drive will take you approximately 3 hours to get to Provence.

Rental Car
We recommend choosing a very small rental car, as the streets are narrow and parking spaces are small. Public transport is infrequent, so having a car is essential for getting around.

Dress Code & Essentials
Provence is laid-back and casual, so you’ll feel right at home in comfortable clothing. Think linen pants, skirts, simple dresses, and flat shoes for walking cobblestone streets and exploring villages.

Valuables & Safety
As in any destination, it’s important to be mindful of your valuables and be aware of theft. Keep them safe and avoid carrying anything you don’t need when out and about. Our village is safe, but it’s always a good idea to take the usual precautions. We recommend leaving your valuables at home for another time.
